We went to Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island , Nebraska yesterday to see all the latest equipment, seed companies, crafts, etc, etc, etc.  It would have been great except that it started to rain later in the afternoon and we had to get under the big top tents.  It was interesting seeing all the new ideas and new equipment.

Well that's what happening in our world. Bye for now.

On the road again...

Well , for all those who happen to check in from time to time to see what's going on, we've moved on.
Chris Ledoux, KayCee, Wy
We stopped in at old hangout in KayCee, WY.  No we're not part of the Hole-in-the -wall gang. (That's about 40 miles south west of here.) They have a new park there dedicated to Chris Ledoux, bareback champion and recording artist..  Worth stopping in to have a visit.

We were standing here back in Oct. 2008

We've moved on a little further and are now in North Platte, Ne.  Weather is beautiful.  Bye for now.

Labor Day Weekend

Isn't that a great shot of Upper and Lower Lakes in Kananaskis Country.

Here's another shot.

These were taken from the fire lookout station.  1000 foot vertical difference from where we are camped.  Another beautiful day here in K Country.  Bye for now.

Frost on the pumpkin

Woke up this morning to frost all over the truck.  Glad I wasn't in a tent!!  (Have I said that before?)  The sky is a bowl of blue so it should be a nice day.

Today was pretty nice.  Warm in the sun.  Have started organizing stuff for the big move.  Monday is our last day at Kananaskis Country.  Time to move on.  Somewhere.  More pictures.  New adventures.  Who knows??  Not me.  Bye for now.

Not nice, change of forecast

As I look out my window, typing this blog, I see rain and snow pellets covering the truck. If they get a little bigger I will take a picture, otherwise it just looks dreary.   Not nice for our day off.  Makes one want to go back to bed and snuggle in.  It was below freezing when we woke up this morning with an 18F windschill.  Sure glad we're not in a tent.  Thought I would add a few pictures that I took yesterday.

Mt. Indefatigable
There is a nice trail just above the rock face.  It takes you to the top .  Trouble is, it is closed because of bears.  It is about a 3000 foot elevation change from Lower Lake to the top.  We'll do it another time, there is snow up there now!

Well it is time for some hot chocolate or something.  Bye.

Snow on the mountain

And we're not talking about my grey hair!!  Snowed again up at the higher elevations.  We got  about an inch and a half of rain. Took a few pictures before the sun melted it all away.  Tomorrow (Friday) will be the start of the long weekend so expect the campgrounds to be full.  Supposed to be warm and sunny so that will make it nice for the campers except for Sat. night when it is supposed to down to freezing for the one night.

Mt. Indefatigable
We had several bear dog people and the Conservation Officer here in our parking lot as they were attempting to move a griz and her cub through the park as we didn't have many occupants.  It is a slow process  as they attempt to get them to move in the direction desired.  Wasn't able to get a picture at that time but they were successful and now the mom and cub are out in the wild and away from us humans.

Well that's about it for now.  Bye
